As part of their long-term strategy, a large UK foster care agency wanted to decrease the amount they were spending on PPC in favour of organic search results, with the target to reduce paid traffic from 75% to 50% in 2016, so Creative Insight took on the project without haste.
Having recently redeveloped their website, we were already one step ahead and able to hit the ground running knowing that what we had built had already been optimised to a certain extent.
We put a plan in place for regular, themed content in the format of blogs, knowledge centre articles and kids-only activities as well as good quality, relevant link-building activity to increase valuable referred traffic.
The introduction of the knowledge centre as an information hub to host fresh, themed content, proved a brilliant success and over recent months, these articles have appeared within the top 10 search results in Google for our primary keywords.

From the annual review in January 2017, we found that rather than just reducing paid traffic from 75% to 50%, we dramatically over-achieved this goal and have successfully reduced monthly PPC traffic by an average of 44% with an astonishing 41% of website traffic coming directly from themed content. Organic results overall increased by 71% in comparison to the previous year.
